Otabo makes each shoe order individually, one shoe at a time for our individual customers – not en masse for a retail shelf. We do a lot of work making these individual shoes and almost all of our customers appreciate our service and our product, ranging from "very happy" to "waiting all my life for this". As in all things, it is not possible to please all the people all the time. Therefore, we must have a policy. CUSTOM FITTING Otabo custom shoes are fashion footwear. They may be the most comfortable dress shoes you will ever own, but they are not intended as comfort or medically corrective footwear. If you require an orthopedic accommodation or specialty corrective comfort, fittings by a Certified Pedorthist are available upon request.  C. Ped fittings may incur additional charges. REFUNDS & REMAKES The great majority of our customers are fit well the very first pair we make for them. If the fit is not to your liking, we are usually able to make adjustments to the shoe to get the fit you want. If need be, we will make a second pair to get the correct fit. If you are not satisfied with the fit of your first pair and want to return the shoes, we will refund you 75% of the purchase price of your shoes, minus shipping costs. You also have the option to have a remake following a Fit Evaluation of your first pair. In this case, we will refund you 50% of the cost of your shoes, minus shipping, if you choose to return the remake. To receive your refund, shoes must be returned within 30 days from the day of delivery. Orders canceled during production are refunded 75% of the purchase price. DELIVERY There is no guarantee on delivery dates. We do our best to get your custom shoes made within the estimated 10 weeks. However, we can not always predict delays we may run into while making your shoes. Special requests and orthopedic fittings generally require longer production time. For first time customers ordering multiple pairs and customers ordering multiple pairs on a new last style, we will only make one pair to start.  This is to confirm that you are satisfied with the fit of your shoes and do not require any adjustments before proceeding with the rest of your order. SPECIAL ORDERS Special Orders including but not limited to shoes with lifts, special request leathers, custom lasts, prototype styles, etc. are nonrefundable. GIFT CERTIFICATES Gift certificates are non refundable. Custom shoe orders from gift certificates can only be refunded for store credit.
